I'm back!

I've been working on stuff! My friend Cat, an amazing artist/illustrator and overall great friend has been creating a line of necklaces for her project Cave Collective and asked me to collaborate with her and a small group of other artists on a small art film. I've been working on a few dress bodies that will be worn in the film. Here's a sneak peek of a prototype.

Shaping my world

Looking back I realized that this one advertisement from 1998 was the single most influential thing that could happen to me at the time I was shaping my artistic paradigm. At a time I was annoyed by the fact my name (Isabelle) was too old fashioned sounding and not popular and cool like Kristen, Caitlin, or Kelly, I was ecstatic to see my name illuminated by sumptuous florals. It made me realize how feminine and romantic my name is. Today, flowers play a big part in my design work.
